7 simple steps to control diabetes, naturally. whole grains, whole fruit, high fiber, vegetables, beans, list, animal, protein, and fat. ##shintani##drshintani##prevention##diabetesprevention ##fiber##bloodsugar##highfiber##beans ##animalprotein ##wholefruits ##prediabetes

Here’s seven basic steps to control  diabetes naturally. Number one, eat whole unprocessed grains such as oatmeal and brown rice instead of processed flour products like bread and pastries. Number two, eat whole fruit for sweets instead of processed sugar products like soft drinks and candy. Number three, eat lots of high fiber foods, especially greens and colorful vegetables to slow the absorption of sugar. Number four, research shows that animal protein is associated with more diabetes. So, get most of all of your protein from plant sources such as beans. Number five, research shows that high fat diets, especially trans and animal fats, are associated with more diabetes. So, eat less of these fats. Number six, exercise, burn off the extra blood sugar. And number seven, use supplements as necessary.

5 ways to relax blood vessels and help control blood pressure

5 ways to relax blood vessels and help control blood pressure. Nitric oxide foods, magnesium, exercise, and less TMAO trimethylamine N-oxide foods. #s#shintanid#drshintanih#healthtipsb#bloodpressureh#hypertensionn#nitricoxidem#magnesium#e#exercisec#calciumchannelblocker#va#vasodilationbl#bloodpressurehighhi#highbloodpressurecurehi#highbloodpressurediet

Here are five ways to relax blood vessels and help control blood pressure. In my June 16th post, I mentioned that one of four ways to help reduce blood pressure is to cause relaxation of blood vessels. Here are five ways to do this naturally. First, eat more foods like greens and beets that produce nitric oxide, which helps to relax blood vessels. Second, eat more foods with magnesium as magnesium is a natural calcium channel blocker and also helps to produce nitric oxide. Third, eat less red meat, egg yolks, and dairy as they increase trimethylamine N-oxide, which can cause vasoconstriction. Fourth, exercise as it naturally relaxes blood vessels. And fifth, use herbal supplements. See my previous post on 10 supplements for blood pressure.

Which is better; fresh or frozen? The answer may surprise you

Posted on March 24, 2026May 31, 2026 By drshintani No Comments on Which is better; fresh or frozen? The answer may surprise you

Which is better; fresh or frozen? The answer may surprise you. Research shows that sometimes frozen might actually be better. For details go to. DrDTips.com. #drshintani #frozenproduce #freshproduce. #Naturalfood. #Plant-basedfood. #healthtips #conveniencefood. #Frozenfruit. #Vegetarian

What’s healthier, fresh or frozen? You may be surprised at the answer. When buying produce, a common question is which is healthier, fresh or frozen? The logical answer is that well, fresh vegetables should always be better. But it’s not that simple. Research actually says that frozen produce can often be just as healthy, if not healthier, than fresh produce. A study comparing the nutritional content of common fresh produce compared to their frozen counterparts of corn, carrots, broccoli, spinach, peas, green beans, strawberries and blue blueberries found that the vitamins in frozen frozen produce are comparable to and occasionally higher than their fresh counterparts. Other studies found that the only major nutritional difference between fresh and frozen produce is when refrigerated fresh produce starts to lose nutrients after a few days.

Can this lengthen your life by as much as 9 and 1/2 years? After analyzing the diets of 92,000 people over a period of 23 years, Harvard researchers found that those who consumed more of this food substance had a 19% lower risk of death during the period of the study. In a similar study of 19,000 people conducted in Italy, researchers found that those who consumed the highest amount of this food substance lived 9 and 1/2 years longer. The food substance they were studying was extra virgin olive oil. It should be noted that the longest-lived population in the world, the Okinawans, consumed very little oil and had equal longevity. So, to get healthy now, use extra virgin olive oil, if you use any oil at all.

The 2 best sugar substitutes

Posted on March 19, 2026May 31, 2026 By drshintani No Comments on The 2 best sugar substitutes

The 2 best sugar substitutes. Since aspartame in called a carcinogen by WHO. I like stevia or monk’s fruit as natural alternatives. ##shintani##healthtips##drshintani##health##prevention##wellness##natural ##stevia ##monksfruit##carcinogen##sweetener##sugarsubstitute##sugarsubstitutes##diabetes ##bloodsugar ##sugar

Here are the two best sugar substitutes since aspartame has been designated as a possible carcinogen by the WHO. Hi, I’m Dr. Shintani, MD and nutritionist trained at Harvard. A lot of people have been asking, “Now what do we do for a sugar substitute? Sucralose? Saccharin?” Well, I recommend avoiding artificial chemical sweeteners such as these because they’re unnatural and the body doesn’t know what to do with them and ultimately they’ll have side effects. I prefer the natural alternatives, stevia or monk’s fruit. Stevia comes from the Paraguayan herb stevia rebaudiana and monk’s fruit comes from lo han guo, long used in Chinese medicine. Because both stevia and monk’s fruit are natural glycosides, they have very few side effects. So to get healthy now, consider using these natural sweeteners..

Does sugar cause cancer? No, but there are three ways processed sugar increases the risk of cancer

Does sugar cause cancer? No, but there are three ways processed sugar increases the risk of cancer. #shintani #healthtips #drshintani #health #prevention #wellness #cancer. #anticancer. #natural #sugar. #protein. #highprotein

Does sugar cause cancer? No, sugar doesn’t cause cancer, but there are three ways processed sugar increases the risk of cancer. First, processed sugar increases the risk of obesity, which in turn increases the risk of cancer. Second, cancer cells are mostly anaerobic and require more sugar to produce energy than normal cells. Third, processed sugar raises insulin levels, which can promote cancer growth. But don’t go replacing processed sugar with protein because protein also raises insulin levels, and high protein diets, especially animal protein, are associated with higher risk of cancer. So, to reduce the risk of cancer, replace sugar with healthier, high-fiber, unprocessed, whole carbohydrate foods that are full of anti-cancer nutrients.

Supercharge 2 super-nutrients by 2000%

Supercharge 2 super-nutrients by 2000%. Curcumin is enhanced with piperine and broccoli as broccoli sprouts. #shintani #healthtips #drshintani #health #wellness. #prevention #preventivemedicine. #alternativemedicine #cancer #anticancer. #antiviral. #curcumin #sulforaphane #turmeric #superfood #VocêNasceuParaMudar

Here’s how to supercharge two anti-cancer, antiviral super nutrients by 2000%. Curcumin, known to have powerful anti-cancer, antiviral, and anti-inflammatory properties, is the active ingredient in turmeric. We now know that if taken with piperine, which is found in black pepper, its absorption is increased by 2000%. Another powerful anti-cancer, antiviral substance is sulforaphane found in broccoli and other cruciferous vegetables. You can supercharge this nutrient by eating it as broccoli sprouts, which has up to 10 to 100 times the concentration of sulforaphane. So, consider adding turmeric and pepper to your favorite foods such as stir-fries and stews, or add it to a salad dressing and use it over broccoli sprouts in a salad.

A simple, powerful yet non-toxic weapon to fight cancer

Posted on March 15, 2026May 31, 2026 By drshintani No Comments on A simple, powerful yet non-toxic weapon to fight cancer

A simple, powerful yet non-toxic weapon to fight cancer. It is exercise. exercise will burn sugar and take nutrients away from cancer cells as well as lower insulin levels. #s#shintanih#healthtipsd#drshintanih#healthe#exercisec#cancera#anticancerpr#preventionin#insulin#in#insulinsensitivityst#starvecancerfi#fightcancer

Here’s a simple, powerful, yet non-toxic weapon to fight cancer. This intervention operates by enhancing insulin sensitivity, lowering blood sugar, and causing a release of myokines, which activate the immune system. It deprives cancer of sugar and nutrients while reducing insulin levels, which would otherwise promote cancer growth. This remarkable, yet simple, often overlooked factor is exercise, preferably outdoors. Unfortunately, many cancer patients neglect this approach due to depression or fatigue caused by treatments. Yet, it is exercise that can improve their mood and energy. And if it’s outdoors, sunlight elevates vitamin D levels, which is associated with less cancer. So, if you have cancer, exercise like an athlete.
