In the US you have about a 50/50 chance of having high blood sugar, so don’t miss these seven early warning signs of high blood sugar. Research shows that about half of us in the US have diabetes or pre-diabetes but in its early stages diabetes is painless so you need to look for these early warning signs. Number one, fatigue, this could mean blood sugar levels are bouncing up and down. Number two, urinating more often especially at night, this could mean your body is trying to get rid of extra blood sugar by urinating. Number three, frequent thirst, this results from frequent urination causing dehydration. Number four, being hungry all the time, this may be because dumping sugar through the urine causes a loss of calories causing hunger. Number five, blurry vision, could be caused by diabetic retinopathy. Number six, tingling of hands or feet, could be signs of diabetic neuropathy. And number seven surprisingly, high blood pressure, may be a sign of high blood sugar because high blood pressure may be caused by high insulin triggered by the high blood sugar. So if you have any of these warning signs see your doctor and get your blood sugar tested.
