Ha1c is the percentage of your blood cells that have sugar attached to them. It is about a three month record of how high your blood sugar has been. 

Ha1c Interpretation

What the numbers mean: 

Normal: 5.6 or less

Pre-Diabetes: 5.7 to 6.4

Diabetes: 6.5 or higher

With change in Diet, Ha1c changes slowly over 2 to 3 months.
