Cut your risk of death from heart disease by 47% just by doing this. A major review of 57 studies reveals a powerful health secret that can cut your risk of dying from heart disease nearly in half. In fact, it helps to reduce the risk of cancer, dementia, depression, and type 2 diabetes as well. What is this simple activity? Well, it’s walking 7,000 steps a day. That’s right. Just 7,000 steps, about 3 and a half miles, was linked to a 47% lower risk of cardiovascular death compared to those who walked 2,000 steps per day or less. And the good news is it doesn’t stop there. This simple daily activity also showed lower risks of cancer mortality by 37%, dementia by 38%, type 2 diabetes by 14%, and depression by 22% and even falls by 28%. While 10,000 steps is still a good goal and is even better for you. This study shows that 7,000 steps is enough to get major results and it’s more doable for most people. So, if you’re looking for one easy change with big results, try walking a little more each day. Your heart and your future self will thank you. Why type 2 diabetes is a disease of high insulin levels

Posted on July 26, 2025September 9, 2025 By drshintani No Comments on Why type 2 diabetes is a disease of high insulin levels

When insulin resistance decreases the effectiveness of insulin The pancreas has to put out more insulin to deal with the high blood sugar level. The problem is that high insulin levels causes high blood pressure and other health problems. #drshintani #reversediabetes. #insulinresistance. #reverseinsulinresistance. #highinsulin. #insulinsensitivity. ##bloodsugarcontrol ##prediabetes #greenscreen

Why type 2 diabetes is a disease of high insulin. It seems paradoxical, but while type 1 diabetes is a disease in which the body has virtually no insulin, type 2 diabetes is a disease of too much insulin. How is this possible? The key is insulin resistance, which causes high insulin levels. You see, the job of insulin is to work like a key that opens a door to sugar and amino acids to move out of the bloodstream into the body’s cells where they can be used for energy and metabolism. When there is insulin resistance, the insulin doesn’t work properly and sugar and amino acids remain in the bloodstream. This signals the pancreas to put out more and more insulin and you wind up with high insulin levels. The problem with this is that insulin is lipogenic and helps produce body fat and contributes to obesity, diabetes, high blood pressure, high triglycerides, and cancer. Because both carbs and proteins raise insulin levels, the key is in modifying both dietary carbs and protein. See my next and previous videos about controlling insulin levels. What high protein food raises insulin more than pasta?

Posted on July 25, 2025September 9, 2025 By drshintani No Comments on What high protein food raises insulin more than pasta?

What high protein food raises insulin more than pasta? The answer may be a key to controlling blood sugar. It explains why beef is his insulin more than pasta. #drshintani #reversediabetes #insulinresistance #reverseinsulinresistance #highinsulin #bloodsugarcontrol #insulincontrol #insulinsensitivity #prediabetes #greenscreen

What high protein food raises insulin more than pasta? The answer may be a key to controlling blood sugar. Let me explain why some high protein foods raise insulin more than some high carb foods. Most people know that insulin is necessary for blood sugar control. Most people don’t know that insulin stimulates body fat production and high insulin levels are at the core of serious health problems such as obesity, diabetes, high triglycerides, and high blood pressure. Most people know that carbs raise blood sugar and insulin levels, but few people know that protein also raises insulin levels, even if proteins don’t raise blood sugar. For example, beef has an insulin index score of 51 compared to pasta which has an insulin index score of 40. This is because beef is rich in protein which stimulates insulin release just as carbs do. This is why it’s better to control blood sugar by eating more fiber, which helps to reduce insulin levels, and by eating more protein, which could increase insulin levels. Reduce your risk of diabetes by 31% by doing this simple thing

Posted on July 23, 2025September 9, 2025 By drshintani No Comments on Reduce your risk of diabetes by 31% by doing this simple thing

Reduce your risk of diabetes by 31% by doing this simple thing. This is one of the best ways to reduce insulin resistance, increase insulin sensitivity, and reduce risk of diabetes. #drshintani #reversediabetes #insulinresistance #reverseinsulinresistance #bloodsugarcontrol #insulinsensitivity #prediabetes #controldiabetes

Reduce your risk of diabetes by 31% by doing this. This is one of the best ways to improve insulin sensitivity, reduce insulin resistance, and reduce your risk of diabetes. This is what research finds. In a study of 6,600 people, brisk walking just 17 minutes per day reduced the risk of diabetes by 31% compared to those who did less than two minutes of walking per day. If you estimate 100 steps per minute, that’s just 1,700 steps. In a study of seniors 70 years of age and older, walking 4,500 steps was associated with 59% lower risk of diabetes. Other research finds that those who walked 10,700 steps per day had a 44% lower risk of diabetes compared to those who walked just 6,500 steps per day. Generally, health experts suggest a minimum of 5,000 steps per day with a target of 10,000 steps per day to lower your risk of many health problems such as obesity, heart disease, and stroke in addition to diabetes. So for less diabetes and good health, consider walking more and get my free ebook at peaceDiet.org. I’m Dr. Shintani for your health.

Three myths to bust to help control diabetes

Posted on June 1, 2025September 9, 2025 By drshintani No Comments on Three myths to bust to help control diabetes

Three myths to bust to help control diabetes. 1. Carbs do not cause diabetes. 2 Gluten is not the problem 3 whole grain might help with weight loss, not weight gain. ##healthtips##shintani##drshintani##nutritiontips##hypertension##cholesterol ##diabetes##T2D ##bloodsugar ##wholegrain##carbs##carbohydrates

Here are three myths to bust to help control diabetes. The first myth is that carbs cause diabetes. In a study involving over 463,000 participants, researchers found that those who ate the most whole grain had a 21% lower risk of diabetes than those who ate the least amount. The second myth is the gluten myth. While some people avoid whole grain because of non-celiac gluten sensitivity, a double blind study shows that gluten produces no more symptoms than placebo. And the third myth is that all carbs make you fat when the truth is that studies show that whole grain consumption is associated with weight control rather than weight gain. Is this the answer to Alzheimer’s disease?

Posted on May 31, 2025September 9, 2025 By drshintani No Comments on Is this the answer to Alzheimer’s disease?

Is this the answer to Alzheimer’s disease? All meat eating animals in the animal kingdom develop Alzheimer’s pathology well herbivores never do. ##healthtips##shintani##drshintani##nutritiontips##alzheimers##dementia ##alzheimersdisease##plantbasesdiet ##vegetarian##vegan

Is this the answer to Alzheimer’s disease? Dr. Rudolph Tanzy, the director of the Alzheimer’s Project at Harvard, explains that while all meat-eating animals develop the pathology of Alzheimer’s disease, herbivores never do. While this observation is about animals, a recent human study now supports the notion that a plant-based diet can aid in preventing Alzheimer’s disease. Published in 2022, a 15-year investigation revealed that vegetarians had a 33% lower risk of developing Alzheimer’s compared to their meat eating counterparts. While this is still a correlational study, to start preventing Alzheimer’s disease now, consider eating more vegetables and less meat and get a copy of my free ebook on “health secrets” at peaceDiet.org. Amazing Biblical Herb

What Biblical Herb can fight cancer, diabetes, arthritis, and bowel disease? Get a free eBook to know more, at https://peacediet.org/

What ancient biblical herb can fight cancer, diabetes, arthritis, and inflammatory bowel disease? This ancient herb has been used throughout the Middle East and Asia as medicine for digestive and arthritic disorders. Modern research shows that this herb has potent anti-inflammatory effects that may alleviate the symptoms of arthritis and inflammatory bowel disease. Of great interest is that it has shown the ability to improve insulin sensitivity and lower blood sugar in animal studies. And it also shows promise in cancer control as it can induce apoptosis or natural cancer cell death and prevent angiogenesis, the formation of new blood vessels to feed tumors. The herb is frankincense and its active ingredient is boswellic acid, also available as boswellia. So to learn more ways to fight cancer, see my lecture at peaceDiet.org.
